    Since becoming interested in letterpress, I purchased a full drawer of Clarendon but noticed that many printers have versions called Craw Clarendon. Apparently the ATF commissioned John Craw to create an American version of Clarendon in 1955. I learn something new everyday! Great article.

    @Vidar, I believe the \"French Clarendon\" name comes from the influence of French Antiques. It was also sometimes referred to as \"circus letter\".
