Something about this style has consistently proven to be my all time favorite. So timeless.
Magnolia Pub (http://www.magnoliapub.com/) in the Haight District of San Francisco also has a refreshingly elegant attention to design in their menu/materials.
Amazing.
i love this approach and the final work. simple and elegant, who woulda thunk?
I agree this style seems so timeless. Beautiful.
Love the look and feel as well. Does anyone know the font being used for the word CHANNEL? Gorgeous typography.
A cow in water. Love it!
Its funny that you posted about this, because I was also drawn to how good the design concept was the first time I saw it.However, I was disappointed by the lack of cross-over to the website. There is such potential with those assets. I\'ve actually noticed recently after researching for a project that restaurant websites for the most part are not very well designed, which is a shame because so many have such strong identities and good restaurants are perfect for micro-communities. I guess with menupages, nymag, and opentable, less people are visiting actual restaurant websites. Anyway good post..
@Kris, I agree. Luckily, Gabriele Wilson (the designer) has informed me that a new website is in the works.
A graphic designer I know recently opened up a Farmer\'s Market in Michigan. A pretty ambitious project, but it afforded him the opportunity to handle all of the design work from the ground up. It\'s very similar to this style but with a splash of color.

The Typeface, colors, lighting, illustrations all make for one fantastic looking eat.
The food is as good as the design @ my local eatery.
