Very nice. I am loving the \"Know Your Type\" installments. I challenge you to choose a serif next.

We\'ve actually been planning to choose a serif for the next KYT, good call Chad!

I design user interfaces by creating workflows, user interface blue prints and information architecture diagrams, where there is a ton of written text within these documents that you have to make sure your client and engineers don\'t miss any of the details.Using Gotham service its purpose by letting the text speak for itself.

I LOVE GOTHAM! (It will be the feature of my redesigned site...) It is by far my favorite typeface. And I also love this Know Your Type series!

Nice to know a little bit more about my favorite font. Thanks idsgn!

Between Verlag, Archer and Gotham, Hoefler & Frere-Jones is one of greatest typehouses ever. Love their work.

I think Gotham is my current favorite. Too bad I can\'t afford it at the moment. I\'ve been noticing it everywhere though, and I absolutely love how versatile and solid it is. It just has such confidence, but not an arrogant confidence, a really attractive confidence. Thanks for the article. I didn\'t realize this was a series. I\'ll definitely have to check out the others (I have read the Futura one, it actually was the article that attracted me to this great site).

Oh, and I agree with Joe. I absolutely LOVE pretty much all of H&FJ\'s work.

(Not necessarily because of this post, but a great one nonetheless...) idsgn has officially become my favorite design blog. You\'ve passed all others in terms of relevance, design ethos, aesthetics and inspiration.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Truly, Gotham is a beautiful typeface. As a suggestion for the next seriffed face for the NYT series, how about Archer?

Here in Mexico in recent elections someone use that font for their campaign and they win, I was lucky enough to help them with the design and I keep the complete set :D

Gotham is one of my favorite typefaces and i\'m seriously thinking about using it for personal branding.
    Geometric, determined and fresh. Beautiful.
