Hallelujah. Not a Sixers fan in the least, but it\'s good to see a pro franchise make a bold move like this.
This is terrific. I hated the new branding. Also not a Sixers fan, but lived just outside of Philadelphia for most of my life. The gold/brown puke of the previouswas so heavy and lame.
I concur with the wise gentlemen above me. Hooray for simplicity instead of the \"something-for-everyone\" crapfest that make up most pro sports logos today.
smart. love the teams sporting the retro love.
Great to see. The retro movement is growing in sports, and if one team needed the switch so direly, it was Philly.
Absolutely love this move. I\'ve been frustrated with sports logos for quite some time and I love the clear branding of so many of the old retro logos. Great stuff!
Back in the late 90\'s/early 90\'s there was a period where logos on all sports team had to appear like they were blowing up on the player\'s chest (same period as the UNC denim jersey\'s). Only a handful of franchises kept from going that direction, and most that did have yet to recover. It is great to see the 76s go back. I wouldn\'t call the design retro, I would call it timeless (unlike the previous iteration).
Show me that the Denver Nuggets are reverting back to their old logo and I\'ll be super happy
I\'m certainly no fan of the previous logo, but I can\'t figure out why this \"new\" logo is getting such positive response. Surely, no one can can argue that it\'s good from a purely design standpoint. Is it just the nostalgia factor -- and is that a good reason to bring back a logo? Just asking...
yea i love the old logos from the 80\'s, they became waaay to embellished through the 90\'s and 2000\'s. The 76ers were one of the worst too, i agree that they looked heavy in those colors, plus red white and blue are good colors for philadelphia.Just need to get me a Clarence Weatherspoon throwback!
im a fan of the philadelphia 76 sixers and i ll say that the new logo looks fab but with the gold and silver one looks more agressive
That\'s gotta sting for the guys who rebranded them...
